Privacy Policy

The default mode of every browser-based tool runs inside your web browser using local processing (Web Workers, OPFS, and IndexedDB). When you use these tools, your PDF and its contents are never transmitted to us or any third party. They stay on your device.

• The contents of files you process with our browser-based tools.
• The contents of files for anonymous use that never leave your device.
• Behavioral tracking or advertising profiles on the free tier.

We collect the minimum needed to operate the service:

• Browser workspace: your files, version history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. No account or sign-in is required.
• Optional backend services: server processing is unavailable in the guest workspace. If a deployment enables it for an existing authorized session, the selected file is uploaded to that backend for processing and is subject to its retention settings.
• Operational data: basic logs such as request timestamps, error reports, and aggregate usage counts, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
• Communications: if you email us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
• To restore your local workspace and preferences.
• To process Server Mode operations you explicitly request.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
• To respond to your support or privacy requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your files for advertising or to train models.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service. These may include hosting, a cloud object-storage provider for enabled Server Mode files, an email delivery provider, and error-monitoring tooling. Each processes data only as needed to provide its function and under its own terms.

Browser workspace data remains on your device until you remove it or clear the site's browser storage. Retention for optional Server Mode files depends on the configured backend. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability, then discarded or anonymized.

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored files, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but the browser-first design means that for most operations there is simply nothing for us to expose.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can remove local files from the workspace or clear the site's browser storage. Visit our contact page for published support details.

RatioAI is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
